Fernley Observatory Heritage Group

For all of you budding young astrologers out there, we are offering you a unique opportunity To join our Space Core Programme. If you and a group of your friends fancy learning about space, book an evening with us at the Observatory, where we shall induct you into our Space Core, and introduce you to our crew. After you have learnt our secret salute, we shall send you on a series of missions:

1) Tour the Solar System

Embark on an exciting adventure across our Solar System, visiting all of the Planets in turn to find out more about them. Put your knowledge to the test, as we read out a number of facts about one planet in particular, and see which one you think it is. If you get the answer write, you will get a Space Fleet Star to add to your badge!

2) Observatory Quiz

If you passed the first mission, why not take on our second mission, based here on Earth at our Observatory. Can you find all the answers to our quiz before the time runs out, and uncover the mystery behind why the Observatory was built here in Hesketh Park all those years ago? If you pass the evening, you will receive our special certificate, shown to the right >>>
